Forbes put it at $1.2 billion in June 2026, while the Bloomberg Billionaires Index valued him at about $1.4 billion. What is Cristiano Ronaldo’s net worth in 2026?

Forbes estimated Ronaldo’s net worth at $1.2 billion in June 2026. Bloomberg, which added him to its Billionaires Index in October 2025, puts the figure at about $1.4 billion. The gap comes from how each publication values his business interests, which are mostly private.

Both figures are estimates. Ronaldo does not publish his accounts, and much of his wealth is held through the CR7 brand and other private companies.

How Cristiano Ronaldo made his money

Most of Ronaldo’s wealth comes from more than 20 years of top-level salaries, starting at Manchester United in 2003 and continuing at Real Madrid, Juventus and Al Nassr. His move to Saudi Arabia in January 2023 sharply increased his annual pay.

The second source is endorsements and his own businesses. He is the most-followed person on Instagram, which makes him one of the most valuable sponsorship partners in sport. Over the years he has worked with Nike, Herbalife, TAG Heuer and Binance, among others.

Salary and earnings

Forbes ranked Ronaldo the world’s highest-paid athlete in its 2026 list, the fourth year in a row he has topped it. Forbes estimated his earnings over the previous 12 months at $300 million before taxes and agents’ fees.

Income source (Forbes 2026)Estimated amount
Al Nassr salary and bonuses (on-field)$235 million
Endorsements and business (off-field)$65 million
Total$300 million

In June 2025, Ronaldo signed a two-year extension with Al Nassr that keeps him at the club until 2027, according to Al Jazeera. The club did not disclose the salary. His original 2022 move was reported at about $250 million. For comparison with other players, see our list of the highest-paid footballers in the world.

Ronaldo’s Juventus move in 2018 cost the Italian club a reported €100 million transfer fee, and his wages there were among the highest in Serie A. In January 2019, he settled a tax case in Spain over image rights income from his Real Madrid years, agreeing to a fine of about €18.8 million and a suspended sentence.

Forbes listed Binance, Nike and Perplexity among his current commercial partners. Nike is reported to have signed him to a lifetime deal in 2016, though the company has never confirmed its value.

Assets: homes, cars and investments

The CR7 brand covers fragrances, underwear, footwear, gyms and other products, mostly through licensing deals. Ronaldo also has a hotel partnership with Pestana Hotel Group, which operates Pestana CR7 hotels in cities including Funchal, Lisbon, Madrid and New York.

He has invested in health and fitness businesses and in media. Ronaldo is known for his car collection, which is reported to include several Bugatti models, along with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce cars. He also travels on a private Gulfstream jet.

Licensing keeps the CR7 business light on costs. Partner companies make and sell the products, and Ronaldo’s companies earn a share of revenue for the use of his name and image.

Ronaldo owns property in Portugal, where he has a family base near Lisbon, and in Madeira. Details and values of individual homes have not been confirmed, so we have not listed them.

Early life and career

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on 5 February 1985 in Funchal, on the Portuguese island of Madeira. His family had little money. He joined the Sporting Lisbon youth academy at 12 and moved to Lisbon on his own.

He made his first-team debut for Sporting at 17. Manchester United signed him in 2003, and he won three Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League there. Real Madrid bought him in 2009 for a then world record fee of £80 million.

At Real Madrid he became the club’s all-time top scorer and won four Champions League titles. He joined Juventus in 2018, returned to Manchester United in 2021 and moved to Al Nassr in January 2023. He has won five Ballon d’Or awards.

International career

With Portugal, Ronaldo won Euro 2016 and the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and 2025. He is the all-time top scorer in men’s international football.

At the 2026 World Cup, his sixth, he scored three goals. Portugal were knocked out by Spain in the round of 16 after a late goal from Mikel Merino, according to Bleacher Report.

Personal life

He has supported charities including Save the Children, UNICEF and World Vision. He has also funded medical care for children and donated to hospitals in Portugal. For other wealthy pairs, see our list of the richest celebrity couples in the world.

What is next for Ronaldo

Ronaldo turns 42 in February 2027, the year his Al Nassr contract ends. His income from salary will fall when he retires, but his brand and investments are expected to keep earning.

He has said in interviews that he wants to reach 1,000 official career goals before he stops playing.
