1. Tyler the Great Warrior: $311,211
Tyler the Great Warrior is a one-of-a-kind card created in 2005 through the Make-A-Wish Foundation for a young fan named Tyler Gressle. It was designed with input from Yu-Gi-Oh creator Kazuki Takahashi and made by Upper Deck.
The card sold on eBay for $311,211 in April 2023. It was graded BGS 7 because of wear, which shows that rarity mattered far more than condition. According to GIGA, the owner had turned down a $75,000 offer for it in 2015.
2. Gemini Elf Alternate Art: $254,791
This Gemini Elf has artwork that differs from the standard card. It was a prize card from the Yu-Gi-Oh Asia Championship in 2001, and very few copies were given out.
A copy sold for about 19 million yen, or roughly $175,000, in May 2018. In May 2024 it changed hands again in a private sale through Vintage Card Japan for 40 million yen, about $254,791 at the time. It is the highest known price for a Yu-Gi-Oh card sold outside a public auction.
3. Masahiro the Dark Clown: $173,923
Masahiro the Dark Clown is a rare early Japanese card. PSA has graded only one copy, which adds to its value with serious collectors.
That copy sold on eBay for $173,923 in September 2025, according to GIGA and Misprint. It is the most expensive Yu-Gi-Oh card sold in public in the last two years and the third-highest sale on record.
4. Blue-Eyes White Dragon 1st Edition PSA 10: $85,000
The 1st Edition Blue-Eyes White Dragon from Legend of Blue Eyes White Dragon, the first English set released in 2002, is the best-known Yu-Gi-Oh card. A PSA 10 copy sold for about $85,000 in October 2020, near the peak of the pandemic-era card boom.
Prices have fallen since then. Heritage Auctions sold a PSA 10 1st Edition copy for $43,200 in 2022, and GIGA reports that PSA 10 Unlimited copies sell for about $4,500 to $7,500 in 2026.
5. Blue-Eyes White Dragon 1st Edition Wavy: $60,000
Collectors call one print variant of the 1st Edition Blue-Eyes White Dragon the Wavy version. GIGA describes it as rarer than the standard 1st Edition card, and it is in high demand with Blue-Eyes collectors.
A 1st Edition Wavy Blue-Eyes White Dragon sold for $60,000 at Fanatics Collect in May 2026, according to GIGA. It is the highest Blue-Eyes sale reported so far in 2026.
6. Crush Card Virus: $49,999.99
The Crush Card Virus was a prize card from the 2007 Shonen Jump Championship series and became famous after it appeared in the Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series parody. A copy sold on eBay for $49,999.99 in June 2020.
Lower-graded copies sell for much less. A CGC 7 copy sold at Heritage Auctions for $15,600 in 2022.
7. Dark Magician KC Grand Tournament: $38,400

This Dark Magician was a prize card from the 2021 KC Grand Tournament, an official online event run by Konami. Only a small number of players received a copy.
A copy sold at Heritage Auctions for $38,400 in 2022. Our earlier list included a 1st Edition Dark Magician at $85,000, but we could not confirm that sale, so it has been removed.
8. Minerva, The Exalted Lightsworn: $34,800
Minerva, The Exalted Lightsworn was a 2015 prize card given to top players at official Konami tournaments. Prize cards like this were never sold in packs, which keeps supply very low.
A copy graded BGS 9.5 sold at Heritage Auctions for $34,800 in 2021.
9. The Seal of Orichalcos: $26,400
The Seal of Orichalcos is a 2005 card linked to a well-known storyline in the anime. This prize version came from the Upper Deck Entertainment Duel the Master event.
A copy graded CGC 7 sold at Heritage Auctions for $26,400 in 2022.
10. Card of Sanctity: $20,000
This Card of Sanctity came from a 2004 Kids’ WB contest in the United States. It was given as a prize and was never part of a regular set.

Unranked: Tournament Black Luster Soldier
The stainless steel Black Luster Soldier was the prize for the first official Yu-Gi-Oh tournament in Japan in 1999. It is often called the most valuable Yu-Gi-Oh card, with a widely repeated price of $2 million.
No sale has ever been confirmed. The only documented figure is a 2013 asking price of 998 million yen, about $10 million at the time, and it is not known whether anyone bought it. For that reason it is not ranked here.
How we ranked these cards
We ranked each card by its highest confirmed sale price, using auction records and reports published up to October 2026. Asking prices, offers and rumoured private deals were left out unless the sale was confirmed.
Prices can change quickly, and two copies of the same card can sell for very different amounts depending on grade. Several figures in our earlier list, including $35,000 for a PSA 10 Exodia and $30,100 for a Cyber-Stein, could not be confirmed and were replaced. For other record prices, see our lists of the most expensive Pokemon cards ever sold and the most expensive decks of playing cards.
