1. Ion Tiriac: $2.2 billion
Ion Tiriac played tennis for Romania and won the 1970 French Open men’s doubles title with Ilie Năstase. He also played ice hockey for Romania at the 1964 Winter Olympics, and later coached and managed players such as Guillermo Vilas and Boris Becker.

Serena Williams won 23 Grand Slam singles titles and earned nearly $95 million in prize money, according to Forbes. She retired in 2022, then announced in June 2026 that she would return to professional tennis, starting at Queen’s Club in London.
Her wealth goes beyond tennis. She invests through her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures, owns a small stake in the Miami Dolphins and still holds endorsement deals with brands including Nike and Gatorade.
