A 1997 Ferrari F50 with just 106 miles on it sold for $18,705,000 at Broad Arrow’s Las Vegas auction on 31 October 2026. The result, achieved during the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas weekend, is the highest price ever paid for an F50 at auction and beats the previous record, set only in August, by more than $4 million.
The sale in numbers
| Detail | Figure |
|---|---|
| Final price (incl. buyer’s premium) | $18,705,000 |
| Hammer price | $17,000,000 |
| Pre-sale estimate | Over $20 million |
| Mileage | 106 miles |
| Chassis | 107165, the 334th of 349 built |
| Previous F50 auction record | $14,575,000 (Mecum Monterey, August 2026) |
The car was bought by a bidder in the room. Its hammer price of $17 million fell short of the “over $20 million” figure Broad Arrow had flagged before the sale, but the final total still set the model record by a clear margin.
Why this F50 was different
Ferrari built 349 F50s between 1995 and 1997, and this was one of the last. It was delivered new in the UK through Maranello Sales of Egham, Surrey, and was one of about 25 F50s sold new in Britain. It was then parked for almost 30 years, according to Carscoops.

It came with the removable hardtop and its flight case, so it can run as a closed berlinetta or an open barchetta, along with the factory driving shoes, a Schedoni luggage set and the tool kit. Broad Arrow described it as likely the lowest-mileage F50 in existence.
The F50 is powered by a 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V12 derived from Ferrari’s 1990 Formula 1 engine. It makes 513 hp and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed gated manual gearbox.
How quickly the F50 record has moved
Three months ago the record belonged to a 1996 F50 in Giallo Modena, one of 31 painted in that colour, which sold for $14,575,000 at Mecum’s Monterey auction in August. The Las Vegas car added about $4.1 million to that mark in a single sale.
That pace matches what has happened to other Ferrari hypercars this year. On the same night in Las Vegas, a 2014 LaFerrari made $8,805,000, a record for a standard coupe, and a 2003 Enzo sold for $6,550,000. Our ranking of the most expensive Ferraris in the world covers the classic cars that still sit far above these figures.
The rest of the Las Vegas sale
Broad Arrow’s second Las Vegas auction totalled $92.8 million, with 64 of 84 lots sold for a 76% sell-through rate. The auction house says it is the highest-grossing collector car sale ever held in Las Vegas. Ferraris made up about $67.8 million of the total across 25 cars.
The F50 only just topped the sale. A 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 with 81 miles, sold by its original owner, made $18,540,000, a record for a non-charity SP3. Broad Arrow said at least 10 world auction records were set on the night, including $3,415,000 for a 2015 McLaren P1 GTR converted for road use by Lanzante.
It has been a busy autumn at the top of the car market. In August the Shelby Daytona Coupe CSX2300 sold for $42.9 million and the Ferrari Luce chassis 0 made $40 million for charity.
