As of October 2026, the most expensive wedding venue on our list is Musha Cay in the Bahamas, where island rentals start at $57,000 per night for up to 12 guests, with a five-night minimum. Private islands, palace hotels and historic estates fill the rest of the top 10.
Most of these venues do not publish a full wedding price. The final bill depends on guest numbers, the season, catering and how many nights the couple books out the property. Where a venue publishes a starting rate, we have used it. Where it does not, we have said so.

1. Musha Cay, Bahamas: from $57,000 per night
Musha Cay is a private island in the Exumas owned by the illusionist David Copperfield. It is rented as a whole, so a wedding party has the island to itself for the full stay.

Guests stay in separate villas spread across the island, and the rental includes staff and meals. The small guest limit makes it suited to an intimate ceremony rather than a large Indian or Middle Eastern style wedding.
2. COMO Laucala Island, Fiji: villas from about $7,015 per night
Laucala is a private island resort in northern Fiji, now operated under the COMO name. Guests fly into Nadi and take a private flight of about 50 minutes to the island.
Mr & Mrs Smith lists its cheapest double villa from about $7,015 per night including taxes and fees, with all dining and drinks included. The island has about 24 to 25 residences, a farm that supplies much of the produce, horse riding, golf and a spa.
A full island buyout costs far more. Mix Meetings reported in 2014 that a group buyout started at $150,000 per night for up to 72 guests. Current buyout pricing is given on request.
3. Little Palm Island, Florida Keys: buyout on request
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa sits on a private island off Little Torch Key and is reached only by boat or seaplane. It has 30 oceanfront bungalows with thatched roofs.
The resort offers a full island buyout for up to 60 guests. According to its official site, the buyout includes an event planner, yacht transfers, all meals for up to 60 guests, water sports gear and dockage for up to five yachts. Pricing is shared only on enquiry.
4. The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur: price on request
The Oberoi Udaivilas sits on the banks of Lake Pichola in Udaipur, Rajasthan. It is one of India’s most requested venues for large destination weddings, with domes, courtyards and lake views across from the City Palace.
The hotel has about 100 rooms plus a set of luxury suites, and part of its grounds is a wildlife sanctuary. Travel + Leisure readers rated it the best hotel in the world in 2015.
Couples usually book the whole hotel for a multi-day wedding. Oberoi does not publish a buyout rate, and quotes depend on dates and guest numbers.
5. Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Ravello: takeover on request
Caruso occupies an 11th-century palace high above the Amalfi Coast in Ravello. It has 50 rooms and suites, an infinity pool overlooking the sea and terraced gardens.
Belmond offers private dining for up to 90 guests and a full hotel takeover on request. Ravello’s cliffside setting and its historic cathedral make it one of Italy’s most sought-after wedding towns.
6. Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, France: price on request
Vaux-le-Vicomte, about an hour south-east of Paris, was built in the 17th century for Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV’s superintendent of finances. Its architect, painter and garden designer later worked on Versailles.
The château is privately owned and hires out its rooms and formal gardens for private events. It does not publish a wedding fee. Planners quote figures online, but none are confirmed by the château, so we have left them out.
7. One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives: price on request
One&Only Reethi Rah is a resort in the North Malé Atoll, reached by speedboat from Malé. Its villas sit on the beach or over the water, and the island has several private coves.
The resort plans custom beach ceremonies and receptions. Prices depend on the package and the villas booked, and are available on request.
8. Borgo Finocchieto, Tuscany: price on request
Borgo Finocchieto is a restored medieval hamlet in the Siena countryside of Tuscany. It is rented as a single private estate made up of several restored stone buildings set in open countryside.
Because the whole hamlet is booked by one party, it works well for weddings where guests stay on site for several days. Rates are shared only through its booking team.
9. MolenVliet Wine Estate, Stellenbosch: price on request
MolenVliet is a wine estate in the Banhoek Valley near Stellenbosch, in South Africa’s Cape Winelands. It has a dedicated wedding venue set among vineyards and mountains.
It costs less than the island venues above, but the exclusive-use option and the winelands setting keep it among the region’s premium choices.
10. The Loeb Boathouse, New York: price on request
The Loeb Boathouse sits on The Lake in Central Park and opened in 1954. It is one of the few places where a wedding can be held inside Central Park, with a lakeside terrace and dining room.
Event pricing depends on the day, the season and the menu. Saturday evenings in peak months are the most expensive slots and are often booked well ahead.
