1. Falcon Supernova iPhone 6 Pink Diamond: $48.5 million
Falcon, a US company that customises electronics as luxury products, launched its Supernova collection in 2014. The top model is an iPhone 6 with a 24-carat gold coating and a large pink diamond set in the back.

Many websites claim Nita Ambani owns it. This has never been confirmed, and Indian media have reported that Reliance Industries denied the claim.
2. iPhone 5 Black Diamond: $15 million
British designer Stuart Hughes built this phone in 2013, according to ABC News. It has a hand-made solid gold body and a 26-carat black diamond in place of the home button. About 600 white diamonds are set along the edges and in the Apple logo.
It took nine weeks to build. Hughes said it was made for a businessman from Hong Kong, and it was not offered to the public.
3. Leica 0-Series No. 105: €14.4 million
This is the most expensive camera ever sold. Leica 0-Series No. 105, a pre-production camera from 1923, sold for €14.4 million, about $15 million, at the 40th Leitz Photographica Auction in Vienna in 2022, according to Leica.
The 0-Series was a small test run of about 25 cameras built in 1923, before Leica began serial production. About half are believed to survive, which makes any example rare.
Unlike most of the gadgets here, its value comes from history rather than gold or gems, and the price is a confirmed auction result.
4. iPad 2 Gold History Edition: $8 million
Stuart Hughes also made this tablet. It has a 24-carat gold back covered in diamonds and a front frame made of ammolite, a rare gemstone formed from fossil shells.
Pieces of a T-Rex thigh bone, about 65 million years old, are set into the frame. Only two were made, according to PhoneArena, and the price was put at more than $8 million.
5. Hart Audio D&W Aural Pleasure Loudspeakers: $4.7 million
These speakers from Hart Audio have cabinets cast in 18-carat gold, each weighing about 50 kg before the drivers are fitted. The design was inspired by the bell of Big Ben, and the cabinets are finished by hand.
TechEBlog listed the gold pair at about $4.7 million in 2013. Cheaper versions in other metals were also offered.
6. Spymaster Orcasub: $2 million
The Orcasub is a two-person personal submarine that Harrods in London began taking orders for in 2013. It is about 22 feet long, weighs about 4 tonnes and can dive to 2,000 feet.
At about $2 million, it is aimed at superyacht owners who want to explore underwater from their boats.
7. Nintendo Wii Supreme: $485,000
Stuart Hughes released this solid gold Wii in 2009. It contains more than 2.5 kg of 22-carat gold and 78 flawless diamonds of a quarter carat each, totalling 19.5 carats, set in the front buttons.
It was priced at £300,000, about $485,000 at the time, and only three were made, according to Fox News.
8. MacBook Air Supreme Fire Edition: $339,000
This MacBook Air has a 24-carat gold body weighing 2.6 kg and 53 diamonds totalling 25.5 carats. It was priced at £219,995, about $339,000, and limited to 10 units, according to The Register.
A cheaper Ice Edition with a solid platinum lid sold for £139,995.
9. Sony PlayStation 3 Supreme: $319,000
The PS3 Supreme, made by UK firm Goldstriker with Stuart Hughes, uses 1.6 kg of 22-carat gold and 58 diamonds of about half a carat each. It was priced at £199,995, about $319,000, in 2009.
Only three were made, according to Gizmodo.
10. Amosu BlackBerry Curve Diamond: £125,000
Designer Alexander Amosu made this BlackBerry Curve with a solid 18-carat gold body and 4,459 brilliant-cut diamonds. Each took about 350 hours to make, and only three were produced.
The £125,000 price included a one-year subscription to a 24-hour concierge service.
Why these gadgets cost so much
The electronics inside most of these devices are ordinary and soon go out of date. Almost all of the value comes from precious metals, gemstones and the small number made.
